Melbourne based beat maker Jonny Faith’s music has garnered international support from the likes of Giles Peterson, Lauren Garnier, Jay Scarlett, Radio Nova (Paris), KCRW, Andrew Jervis and has been described as “A kaleidoscopic delight” by DJ MAG (UK) and “blissful, down tempo which oozes heart and soul” by CLASH Magazine. He has released music with seminal UK label Tru Thoughts, performed in support of Bonobo, Flying Lotus and more plus created remixes for The Bamboos, Werkha and the Hot 8 Brass Band to name a few.
“Garden of Zen" is Faith’s latest sonic outing and brings instrumental hip hop beats together with blissful jazz colours, traditional Asian sounds and inner-city Australian soundscapes. Intended as an oasis of calm in the otherwise stressful world climate of 2020, this new EP also serves as a platform to raise awareness and funds for mental health issues. Like many creative minds, Faith has experienced anxiety and depression and has decided to donate 100% of his artist share of Bandcamp sales and donations for this release to Beyond Blue.
Beyond Blue is an Australian independent non-profit organisation working to address issues associated with depression, suicide, anxiety disorders and other related mental illnesses. 100% of the artist's share of Bandcamp sales and donations from this release will be donated to Beyond Blue to help with the great work that they do.
